" If you are an adult jazz musician, who is looking for an opportunity to jam with others, increase your repertoire and learn a whole lot about ensemble playing and improvisation, you won't find a better resource than Morningside. Dan Fox is a very talented teacher and player who works hard to create compatible ensembles and introduce you to many styles of jazz and jazz performance. For those of you who never went to Berklee, but view yourself as a committed hobbyist who would rather jam than play golf, Morningside is the place to be.

I started playing with Dan a little over 2 years ago. I did not read music nor did I know the notes on my bass neck. Knowledge of music theory? No not that either... But now I can play routinely songs that I have not even heard before, often at first pass. Basically, there is NO WAY I could have advanced this fast without the type of experience I get every week playing with Dan and the band. NO WAY."
